Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a Winston County office. It cannot confirm custody, approve release, post bond, schedule visitation, or retrieve official booking records. For those actions, contact the sheriff, jail, police department, court clerk, MDOC, or other government office that controls the record.

Where to Call for Jail, Court, and Inmate Records

Use the office tied to the record you need. Winston County official pages list Sheriff Mike Perkins and the Sheriff's Office at winstoncountyms.org/sheriff.html, WCCRCF information at winstoncountyms.org/wccrcf.html, and court contacts through the county site at winstoncountyms.org.

For a person who may be in local custody, start with jail inmate records and then call the sheriff or WCCRCF if no online roster is available. For booking photos, review jail roster mugshots before requesting a photo from the agency that created the booking record. For filed charges after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and contact Justice Court or the Circuit Clerk based on the case stage.

  • For a specific local detention location, use the facility pages in the footer.
  • For a sentenced Mississippi prisoner, search MDOC and contact MDOC Records when the online result is not enough.
  • For a federal or immigration detainee, use the federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE detainee locator because those systems are separate from Winston County and MDOC.
  • For written public-records access, Mississippi Public Records Act requests may be made to the office that maintains the record, with Section 25-61-5 addressing prompt access and written explanations when records cannot be produced promptly.
